It’s been 25 years but I still miss my dad!

I lost my mom in 2008 but still have my father and stepdad (stepdad is staying with us). I will be lost when they die. I’ve always been a Daddy’s Girl.

36 years ago my daddy died a week after he turned 56. I will never get a hug like that again. When I get to Heaven I’m going to run right into his arms!

My father died in ‘67. Sadly, our last coherent words were not friendly and I will always regret that. But I also know he forgave me and like amethyst 52 above, I am going to do that very thing first also! I didn’t realize and was too slow and too late to tell him how much I loved him.

Luckily have my Dad around, though Mum left us over a decade ago. Losing a parent is like getting hurt in a way that never heals.

There’s really nothing to miss. Just gratefull their sufferiing is over.

OMG! GB:Thank you! Today is my Dad’s 88th birthday, he’s been gone since Nov ‘16. I remember seeing this one before, perhaps your Dad’s day as well? Like Charlie T, we DO miss miss our Pops and our hearts yearn to see them again.

Both my parents are gone.

My sister and I cried at the funerals, but we knew that eventually, the sadness of the loss would be replaced with the fondness of the memories. We now smile and laugh when we remember them.

I wonder whether Ged is no longer with us? I believe his daughter has been capable of drawing Aunty for a long time.

Only 2 1/2 years for me. Watched Field of Dreams for the first time since the theater and cried the whole time. Miss you Dad!

Dad’s been gone 40 yrs, Mom 10 – I miss both of them

Me too. I miss my Dad and Mom eveyday.

It’s been 29 years and I still miss him

I miss mine too. and he has only been gone just over a year.

Dad passed 39 years ago and lost mom 13 years ago. The void never leaves your heart.

It’s been 35 years and I still miss him every day.

I just lost my mom in May. It’s still going to take some getting used to…

I understand that with my mother and a cousin.
