When I was a kid (yeah, like 60+ years ago) I heard about niblicks and mashies and mashie-niblicks, but eventually such names were replaced (don’t know when, or why Wiki was so unhelpful) by the modern system of numbered clubs. Is “niblick” supposed to show us how old that story is?

Never mind… his little club listens to the hole thing…. nobody ever seems to get teed off.
