Oscar should have never let her talk him into the nose ring.

I have customarily heard that phrase in association with another body part.

I prefer the lower muzzle to the nose, myself. I would grab my dog’s muzzle from behind, tip her head up, and drip drops into the eyes. My mom asked me to put drops in my kid brother’s eyes once, and I missed the eyes until I grabbed him like he was a dog and plopped the drops right in.

Now I know why Oscar has a big red bulbous nose. And here I thought it was from the bottle. No, it’s from the battle… ax, that is

This is why we put rings in bull noses and pig snouts! (Don’t know why your sister wears one.)

Cynthia’s Nose-Fu is so expert she doesn’t even need to put down her pocketbook to perfectly exact compliance from her subject.

Cynthia grew up on a farm and knew all about leading stubborn animals. He’s lucky she has not (yet) hung a chain on it.. but if he gets frisky just one more time.. it’s on.
