Edith wishes Gil would find some other way to boost his self-esteem.

At least this keeps Gil out of trouble.

Gil has been “different” ever since he was attacked by a crazed duck at the local pond while he was answering a call of nature.

Duck, Gil! Duck!

And she’s just waiting to tear down all that he’s built up.

Gil Gamesh. Epic fail!

Oh! I thought Edith was the one who hung up the duck and placed the flashlights.

Embarrassed as she is by his public display of lunacy…

She’d be more embarrassed if he were to drive the car off the property.

He might get half a block, next time… before he swerves to avoid a white-tailed deer …

which might really be the Huddlesby’s mailbox… and BAM! … there goes another car.

They already pay more for insurance than some people do for cars…. and he’ll soon be un-insurable.

Who’s helping him, then?

Yesterday there was a stuffed skunk on the hood near the windshield…

The day before, a plastic deer standing like a hood ornament, and the windshield had been sprayed with water.

I bet it was Gracie, their daughter…

When I talked to her last week… you remember… when I had to tell her how to cut her own bangs cos my salon is still closed…

She told me “Daddy’s in a new phase.”

She loves her father… nonetheless, she worries about her son Markie taking after him.

Via duck! I give up why?

Gil likes to play dangerously.

Thank God for rechargeable batteries. A year ago Edith was spending up to $50/month on D batteries.

As a member of Ballard Street’s indigenous furry population, i must thank you for your dedication to little creature safety.

Edith is wondering if it’s time to call those nice young men in their clean, white coats… ☺

It’s gunning the engine that has the neighbors phoning her with complaints. She does what she can, always parking it near “empty” to limit his excursions, but he finds the lawn mower gas every time she hides it.

Edith knows what the neighbors are thinking.. She wonders if she dare go to the next whist and gin meeting. Standing there she is reminded of her mother warning..

Gil needs to duck the duck.which appears to be levitating in front of him.
