To her surprise, she discovers a knight (a knight in waiting) – seemingly waiting just for her.

This knight would soon take her from her ordinary palace life her to …

    … a life of adventure …

Gwen’s hasty dismount cost her several points with the judges…

She honestly tells Fred, that he’s an inspiration to her writing.

Maybe that’s her journal… doesn’t say what she dismounted from. Could be that rock she’s next to.

Stephanie Lee taking inspiration from her surroundings. She thanks her husband in the dedication page of her novel. She couldn’t have done it without him.

    Poor Fred.

    Look, Princess… I mean Gwen… er, Stephanie… (I know even that is a pen name…)

Fred may not be Prince Charming, or even Prince Fred…

but he loved you even when you were Gretchen…. and he still bows before you…

He went to work every morning for 37 years to keep the lights on in the castle, and bring home the those frozen beasts from the Kroger forest.

He may not be the knight of your dreams, but he’s probably the only knight in your present or future kingdom…

And he’s actually a prince of a fellow if you just disregard a few lumps and a bald patch.

Best not tell Fred the true meaning of her “You are my rock…”

Huh.. normally it’s the guy that dismounts in haste.. rolls over and falls asleep in the shadow of a large lump. Stephanie is writing pure fiction.

Dismounting aside, Princess Gwen rewrites the Princess and the Pee every half hour saga. :>)
