Judging by the position of his left rear leg, we can only hope he isn’t dreaming about a fire hydrant.

Scooter is thinking: “Dog, this is the life! All you got to do is eat what and when they feed you, sleep, and occasionally hump anything that moves. And the place is heated! With cushions! You are one lucky dog, dog.”

It’s a dog’s life. I don’t know what that means, but that’s what they say.

His drudgery consisted of sitting and staring between the slats on the picket fence. Barking at old Mr. Humpnagle ( he always falls over when Scooter barks at him), watering all the roses, being careful to aim at the flowers, barking at Mrs. Wiffenpooder and watching her drop the bag of groceries she was carrying., and napping under the porch. He’s confusing drudgery with boredom.

I’ve always loved this dog and now I can see why. Scooter’s a Hanged Man, too. Let it all hang out, Scooter.

I think I will follow Scooters advice, looks like rain today anyway.

Or is it Scuffy, scooting off the drudgery of another day? ☺

The Sunday Snoozies are highly recommended.

I have a cat who will lie like that and give out a tremendous sigh about the terrible burden of catness. :)
