Perhaps that’s the problem, as Neal sees it.

Neal gets rather testy when he sees someone wearing the same outfit that he is wearing.

I judge people by how they treat their waiters. In the case of this waiter, I wonder if Neal was absolutely right??!! We need more back story.

The waiters first mistake was saying…" What’ll you have, tubby?"

Neal is in a foul mood. He went to buy a new set of inserts a Dennis’s Fine Fashions and Bait only to find them out of stock in his size. Now he has floppy pants.

Everything has gone to pot

“I’m not surprised. The waiter spoke as if he found you delicious.”

Now who is going to cover your table? You could be waiting a long time for service.

That’s a horrible way to get out of tipping!! If it’s THAT bad, you’re supposed to leave a penny (To show you didn’t forget).

one person’s trash is another person’s delight

The tag line of the Ballard Bistro is:” Your table is waiting!”.

Indeed, Neal & Emily sat there for 90 minutes until the Waiter finally stopped by to say:”I will be with you shortly.”

The Sheriff let Neal go with a warning…

Old Mr. Dowadske does not suffer overly cheery waiters gracefully.

Now that is what is known as a “tip”.

She: Isn’t that a bit harsh? He: You know I like to butter my own toast!

“Do you know what he said when I asked ‘Waiter, what’s this fly doing in my soup’?”

Neil was not in the mood for delight, that he gets at home… here he came to eat.

The poor waiter said “Is everything alright here?” once too often.

He’s in deDark now

From the stories I’ve heard I’m sure it’s not the waiter’s fault. People treat wait staff like slaves and abuse them. When the pandemic ended, that’s why so many didn’t go back into service. And many of them also spent that time taking online courses for other jobs to get away from this hellscape.

I would NEVER eat the food after I had treated my waiter badly. Anyone who’s worked in restaurants like can tell stories.
