Snap out of it Fred, you know you get seasick just stepping in a mud puddle.

The closest Fred ever got to the sea was opening a Chicken of the Sea brand tuna can.

Well, he can claim that his tears are a little bit salty….

Old sailors never die. They just get a little dinghy.

Fred is nostalgic for his imaginary sea adventures.

So … “What Shall We Do with a Drunken Sailor?”

Fred is realizing that he will never have his White Whale.

He’s singing about Brandi, she was a fine girl.

Fred is going to be crying even the more after his dog chomps him on the leg for misappropriating his food dish.

Luckily, Virginia buys big Costco cans of white tuna,…

She knows that a slab of “white whale” on stale bread, cos there’s no hard tack, with mayo, and half a mug of watered down rum, ought to set him right.

Amazing, I wouldn’t have begun to guess that Fred would even know how to spell poignancy let alone know what it means – will wonders ever cease…?!

He: Avast Ye land lubbers avast….oh that’s me!

Not so much the sea.. but all the loves lost in the many ports.. that is bringing a tear to his eye.

He must be drinking “shanty”. :)

Shandy is a potentially disgusting beverage made by combining beer or ale with lemonade or limeade.

Origin stories vary but it appears to have been a way to “water” beer either when a pub owner’s supplies gave out or a way to dilute it so that the alcohol content was low enough that even minors could drink it. Recipes vary worldwide.
