    His line, “Ask me what’s inside my briefcase,” has failed to attract any new prospects. Except the cops who showed up later.

    This is why everyone takes Birch Street instead of 4th Avenue. It’s longer, but……

    /// Kyle’s poised stance isn’t random; he’s sly.

    His firm taught him a program to try.

    Are there buyers about?

    With his foot he’ll reach out

    and Kyle trips them as they’re passing by.

    /// He’ll try anything to increase sales,

    and this outreach technique rarely fails.

    A hurt “mark” often buys

    a few First-Aid supplies,

    and if cops are called, Kyle quickly bails.

    Kyle’s dipping his toe into the program. Don’t let it trip you up.

    There was a young lawyer named Kyle/

    Who trod in a hot steaming pile/

    He was en route to court/

    And it’s sad to report/

    That it certainly cramped his style..

    Not only is Kyle in a Management Outreach Program, he’s also out standing in his field!

    /// There was a young fellow named Kyle

    who wore suits in the Ballard Street style.

    By his cartoon he’s bored,

    so the caption’s ignored.

    He hopes non-sequiturs makes you smile.

    There are 5 commentors here who regularly compose limericks. How about continuing this experiment with all five taking part? A limerick contains 5 lines so there’s an opportunity for all of us to contribute.

    The only question is who gets to contribute which line?

    The fairest thing to do is decide it in alphabetical order. This gives us;

    (1.) Call Me Ishmael.

    (2.) Happy Dog.

    (3.) Linguist.

    (4.) No6.

    (5.) Solstice.

    To make sure all five commentors get a fair crack at each line, over the following 5 days each one of us could move up the line and so Wednesday Solstice would provide the first line and Call Me Ishmael would provide the 2nd and so on…

    The only rule is that the limerick has got to be relevant to the day’s Ballard Street cartoon.
