Every broadcasting system has gone from straight analog to compressed digital with some level of encryption. They told us it was for personal privacy and copyright protection. It was actually to block their capturing raw signal intelligence from earth, except there is no intelligence in commercial broadcasting.
I doubt Venusians anatomy would be that similar to ours, or that they could survive our atmosphere. They would explode simply from the pressure differential, and what would they have to be like to survive a CO2 atmosphere with sulphuric acid clouds at 872 deg F????
