Calvin, they will just bus you across town to another school. You can’t get away from education.

Won’t Mom be surprised when she learns that the School burned down because of a fire that started (authorities think) in the cafeteria kitchen.

I love the expression of exaggerated innocence in panel 1!

Sometimes it just doesn’t pay to be a superhero.

I´m on Calvins side here, homework takes up too much of kids time and teachers have to set it and mark it which takes up time better spent with the kids.

It’s always easier to read the three pages.

Calvin’s kinda cute in that underwear. Mom would not fall for that excuse.

I remember daydreaming when I was Calvin’s age about Air Force jets bombing my school so that I didn’t have to go anymore.

Poor Calvin. He has to deal with cold hard reality yet again.

Got my 5 year old a Darth Vader costume for Halloween….maybe I should take it back…
