I was at a loss about what to do with my wedding dress. Even years later, after my divorce, I still had it hanging in storage! I finally found a great solution. I gave it to an organization that donates clothes to countries/areas in need. They said their expert seamstresses could turn my wedding dress into 5 or 6 lovely dresses for little girls. I love that thought because I loved my dress!
My wedding dress was a classic 80s dress, puffy sleeves, ruffles, etc. It was beautiful, but I KNOW my girls would never wear it. LOL. After I got divorced, I donated it to an organization that repurposes wedding dresses for babies. The dresses are made into gowns with sizes that are micro preemie, small, medium, and large all with matching bonnets, and wraps with shrouds for the smallest Angels. For Angel Boy gowns a vest is attached. Then they are distributed to local hospitals in the Houston and surrounding areas, individual families and funeral homes.
I kept a bridesmaid dress for years to be my vampire dress at Halloween. Might still have it, but prolly cant zip it up. Wedding was in 1993. Teal satin and velvet. Good for zombie vampires.
Our local quilting store has a meeting where they deconstruct wedding gowns and make Angel Gowns for stillbirths or babies who have died. They actually just sent out an email saying that they have too many gowns right now! I thought that was very sweet to hear how many people in our area were willing to donate.

Wear your wedding dress to Dan’s investure. His new job can be the start of your second honeymoon.

It’s not often you can feel like a princess. Break it out when you really need that boost….then you can seal it up again.

My wife still has her wedding dress sealed and packed away. She is hoping that our granddaughter might want to wear it if she ever gets married.

Yes. At least once a year, just because.
