Again, Beethoven’s real birthday is unknown. He was christened on December 17th, 1770 and because of the high mortality rate of children in these days they were christened pretty soon after their birth, so Beethoven was most likely born in the week before December 17th, 1770.

Wikipedia offers some context linking the painting Schroeder mentions and the year when this comic was published: "In September 1970 The Blue Boy was “outed” in the pages of Mad Magazine [etc]" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blue_Boy)
Schroeder keeps dropping clues like this, but Lucy is still not getting it.
