Aren’t super hero’s true identities supposed to be secret?

    Circumstances:

I think if you can afford to support yourself while in super mode, you don’t need a secret identity. Superman does not receive pay, so he needs to be Clark to get a check.

Tony Stark doesn’t need money, he has plenty, and he has an ego, so he outs himself.

Bruce Wayne is different, he is THE BATMAN. He doesn’t have Tony’s ego, while he certainly has the money to support himself, he has issues with criminals, that only the BATMAN can solve. Besides, as a vigilante, if his identity is revealed that’s a host of law suits waiting to happen.

Steve Rogers and Natalia Romanoff were on the Shield Payroll, and Steve was in the Army when he was outed.

Spider-man knows that his friends and loved ones would be targeted if he revealed himself, so didn’t (golden age spider-man)
