captain: The batmobile. the fantasticar. spidey sense, arrowjet, joker venom... dynaman: Okay, but I don't think the "wonderbra" has anything to do with wonder woman. captain: Well, it oughta!!
I was wondering if she might have inspired the name… Well, I figured if she’d appeared earlier than the bra a bogus case for the claim she did could have been established. By the magic of Google™ (which means some sources may be unreliable) an early design and the name Wonder-Bra comes from 1935. The name wasn’t trademarked until 1939, and a patent for a new design was issued in 1941 – the same year Wonder Woman first appeared in print… But I’m going for alliteration being the basis of her name rather than the undergarment.
