Well, it does happen to be true. At least at the grocery store. Often, women are not done shopping when they check out. Then there’s, “This is wrong; that isn’t priced right; don’t make the bags too heavy; oops, you mean my WIC check doesn’t allow me to buy Cheetohs? I guess I’ll go trade out these 12 bags for Fritos; can I make this check (only just now scrabbled for 90 seconds to get checkbook out of the garbage dump of a purse) for $3000 over the amount? …” etc. I can only imagine how much more delay they can cause at an airport.
