Woman: I thought you were going to straighten up the closet? Man: Oh, yeah. I'll... Woman: Too late. I just did it. Man: Gee, I would have... Woman: Once again, the potential of promises is mugged in the alley by the 3 stooges-shoulda, coulda and woulda.
Her husband is probably a politician–promising everything, and then when it’s time to deliver on those promises, well, nothing happens. It’s always one excuse after another.
I wonder how he would feel if, when it was dinner time, she said, “In a minute”, and never did make the meal?
Like how my mom once asked my dad, “Why do I always end up loading the dishwasher after supper?” and he told her, “You don’t end up loading the dishwasher – you load the dishwasher.” The next time she spent an hour in her office after supper, instead of cleaning dishes immediately, she then returned to the kitchen to find the dishwasher loaded and running.
I tell my wife, “If you want something done your way, do it your self. If you want me to do something, don’t get involved in the technique or timing,”
