You should see the issues naked mole rats have. Still can’t get into family restaurants. No thumbs.

I first discovered this comic strip because Sophie reminded me of my little doggie Foster, that I foster failed. Now with Annie, the two of them remind me of Foster and Bogart, our doberman.

Big hearted giant Bogey and little pile of fluff Foster, playing nicely and getting along with each other even though there is 65 pound difference between them.Good friends, right Soph? Ann?

    Good times.Happy Monday!:))

I work for a grocery store and management has had a lot of trouble getting people to understand the difference between service animals and emotional support animals

The Health Department says we can allow True Services Animals into the store, but if you need your little Pookems to help you decide which ice cream to buy then you are out of luck

How could any restaurant say no to these two precious furry babies?

Maybe Mom & Dad will bring back a doggie bag for them. Some people are allergic to pet hair/dander; others just don’t think animals should be permitted in restaurants for hygiene reasons.

Maryland enacted a law* several years ago that explicitly allows restaurant owners to offer dog-friendly outdoor seating. No business owner is obligated to do so, and there are specific regulations and inspections required in advance. Areas must be directly accessible without going inside, owners must stay with dog at all times, dog must be leashed, etc. It works out very well.

Kinda puts it into perspective, doesn’t it?

Not that I can blame establishments for wanting to ban pets, though. On a business setting, they can be very difficult to clean up after, or at least keep things as clean as required for ideal service with them around. Which is a pity, because they are some really great pets out there in the world, and I wish they could be included in everything too.

I LOVE my dogs but they do not belong in a restaurant. They pee, shed, flatualate, drool, etc. And I’m tired of people using the “Therapy Dog Scam” to bring them in.

Harrumph. No shirt. No shoes. No service. I guess that is still a thing. I suppose a dog fight in Chilie’s is not really appetizing.

Over in Europe you can bring them. I went to Spain and they were allowed, Germany same thing and England. Plus Portugal too.
