The “60’d” before remotes and mute buttons. (Pop ran a store and I do recall him having a TV for sale there one year when I was very young that did have a remote. But they sure were not common place!)

Keep la-la-ing, Red, there’s more where that came from!

It’s probably only a commercial for toilet paper or one of those ambulance-chasing law firms. UNLESS it’s close to Christmas, THEN the toy commercials will be out in abundance!

That makes a lot of sense, Red!

A lot like I image certain persons do. Plug up their ears chanting “I CAN’T HEAR YOU I CAN’T HEEEEEEEEAAARRRRRR YYYYOOOOOUUUUUUU” while saying they haven’t heard a single complaint or suggestion.

Generally, we are watching things on our TiVo that we have recorded, and just skip the commercials. It is a wonderful feature . Also, if we have not recorded it, we just hit the mute button.

Probably an ad for some drug that it’s side effects will kill you!

Commercials must have been shorter back in the day – I remember not having enough time to make a sandwich. Nowadays, I have time to clean the garage.

You’re absolutely right, Red.

I put the commercials on ‘mute’, especially the pharmaceutical ones! Lol!

TVLAND is the worst for commercials. Five minutes of ‘show’ then five minutes of commercials. Then they also cut scenes from those old shows too.

Saturday morning cartoons used to be the biggest target time for kids. And, it worked! I wanted whatever cereal was advertising and whatever new toys were being pushed!

“Ad coming soon”—- I hit the mute button and look away till it’s over. Won’t be manipulated!

Some commercials are entertaining, others are forgettable.
