This is how “Enemy of the State” began.

The first time I heard of a self-driving garbage can was when I saw last Monday’s Over the Hedge strip. It sounded so stupid to me, that I thought it was something made up, but today I decided to google it to see if this was really something that existed. Turns out that there actually is something called a “smart can”. Even after seeing that it’s real, it still sounds stupid and made up. Are people really getting so lazy that they can’t even walk a few yards once a week? Are we heading towards a society where we never have to move at all?
