I’m a very tough person to shop for. My wife always asks me what I want for Christmas. I tell her that I don’t need anything. She says, “I didn’t ask you what you need; I asked you what you want!”
We usually settle on socks. That’s as close to needing something as I get. This year, I am upping the stakes: leather belts. Most of mine are decades old and are beginning to look ratty. I need a good black one and a good brown one. I will not settle for a reversible one.
True wealth should not be measured by how much you have. Rather, it should be measured by how much you don’t need.
Jupiter-64 Gamestation? So like a N64 + Saturn + PlayStation 3-in-1 system. Back 20 years ago I’d be all over that! … Who am I kidding? I’d take one of those right now for the nostalgia. :)
I still remember when younger me read a FoxTrot strip where Paige made an advertisement for “iPod + Paige” which she put on her door, and it caused me to do something similar for a birthday gift.
In our family we have a $20 limit on Christmas presents. We mostly give one another books and CDs. The big ticket items such as gaming systems are for birthdays only and even then there’s a limit. Jason would be told to lower his expectations. Santa isn’t made of money.

The original copyright date is 1993 or 1997, I can’t make out the last number.
