Several years ago we were getting ready to get off of a plane and a young woman asked my husband to get her bag from the overhead compartment. He started to do and I stopped him. I said if you hurt your back doing that, our vacation is ruined. It’s her bag, let her get it down. Sounds rude but honestly, I don’t care.
You need to be on the other end of that couch instead of bearing the majority of the weight. And unless he has more friends to help, that piano is staying where it is.
