Linus says, "Let me get this straight."<BR><BR> Linus continues, "If Charlie Brown gets well, you promise never to pull the football away again?"<BR><BR> Lucy raises her hand and says, "That is my solemn promise!"<BR><BR> Linus smiles and holds his arms up. He says, "He's sure to get well now . . He has something to live for!"<BR><BR>

Off panel, doctors soon discover that Charlie Brown’s vital signs are normal and that he is feeling better. He is discharged from the hospital and goes home, waiting to see his family, his friends, and his dog.

Let’s hope Charlie Brown can develop some more substantial goals than this, as nice as that one would be. One lower goal would be learning to firmly say, “Thank you for the offer Lucy, not today.”
