The Australian Football League created a women’s league a few years ago. The AFL has long had what’s called the “father-son rule”—if your father played 100 games for one team, that team has the ability to match any other team’s offer for you. With the women’s league, this has expanded to “father-daughter”, with “mother-daughter” and “mother-son” planned once the players’ kids are old enough.
