I actually wore a Nehru jacket to work in the day. Thank goodness it was well before the internet and digital cameras in every pocket. Imagine a fatwa against this simple Midwest boy.

Although the byline in the title panel reads “By Bud Fisher,” this is really one of Al Smith’s strips. You can tell because Al’s backgrounds aren’t as detailed as Bud’s.

Interesting, I SWEAR I just a story about some NEW men’s fashions that looked a LOT like that!
