    The problem with being a parent is that your children seldom do what you tell them to do. However, they will do what you do. They’ll pick up every bad habit you have.

    As a parent, you are constantly on display with your children. It forces you into a role of leadership by example.

    Huh. People only get more like themselves as they grow older. . .thank GAWD my mom taught me how to paste a smile on my face and listen. I can listen to (almost) anybody for a couple of hours before I blow. . .but at least it’s with a smile on my face!

    My brother adopted a child. I knew her mother quite well and she grew up to be just like her and so many ways. The way she talked and the attitude was impressive. And she had never met her mother at that time.

    When my wife or my daughter tell me something my granddaughter has done I can’t help but laugh.

    Me: You cannot be surprised. She is a carbon copy.
