Something (raccoon) ate the face out of our porch gourde the night before Halloween. Added a nice touch.

Isn’t it too cold for flies, and don’t they go for meat (unless they’re fruit flies?)

Shouldn’t it be Requiem for Jack O’Lantern? An Irish wake. Mmmmm, Pumpkin spice whiskey! (blech!)

I’ve been looking for an older Lio strip where Lio is beside a grave and his thought bubble says “Mom”. Very touching scene but I’ve gone back nearly 3 years and so far have been unsuccessful in locating it. Anyone remember or maybe made a copy/have the date of the strip? Lio bears a strong resemblance to my husband who recently lost his mother so I found the strip in question especially moving. Help??

Well, after all, a pumpkin is a squash.

Around here, it takes forever for the pumpkins to deteriorate. They’ll be on porches until after Thanksgiving.

Dead gourd dirge, as rendered by our speechless boy. My guess is that it is very fitting, very moving. Sob!

    Farewell, Jack!
