There’s a William Tenn story about a crash-landed alien who tried to rebuild his ship using parts from junk shops on NYC’s lower east side.

I’m sure that Lio has the right part in there somewhere.

No wonder they don’t sell those anymore – too many kids helping out aliens!

With such a large erector set, you’d think Eva Rose would like Lio.

I had one of those, as a kid. It was a good toy to learn the basics of engineering. But I would never have suspected the parts could be used for space craft repair.

That’s quite an erection, Mister Spaceman.

But… he totally forgot the LEGOs…

Maybe Klaatu will stop by and give an assist….

Good thing Lio had an erector set in stead of a Girder and Panel Building Set.

I would be surprised that anything we have would be of use.

That looks like the same suitcase my Dad brought his Meccano set with him when we immigrated to Canada in ’53…
