I can just picture the next few panels with Liz tattling to Elly and Elly screaming at Michael about a) his dirty, smelly socks and b) his treatment of his sister. Shoulders back, belly thrust forward and mouth open wide with the tongue in view.

He says, “Killer socks,” but the fact is that teenage boys have issues with foot odor, because hormonal changes make them sweat more. However, knowing Michael, I expect we are about to head down the road where Michael proves just how filthy his socks really are.

I have it on good authority that this is standard older sibling behaviour.

I know the perfect punishment for him, Elly! Wake him up in the middle of the night and make him feel yer belly!
