parenting an infant: a blessing and a curse (even I had a hard time sleeping one night this summer when visiting my older brother, his wife, and their — at the time — nine-month-old son; my nephew just couldn’t stop crying that night)
As long as the child is fed, clean diaper, and not sick, sometimes you just have to put the child in the crib and let it cry while you take care of you. Either that or go get the child and stick it in bed with you. During a 24 hour period I’ve used both tactics to get sleep.

Seven years of interrupted sleep is enough! Tell the kid to grow up already!!

Don’t tell me we’re all good inside! Anyone who’s raised a baby knows we’re all born outright narcissistic!
