Let this be a lesson to all of us: Never play soccer in the freezing cold. Hugo and Inez learned this the hard way in yesterday’s strip, and now, the Panthers are following suit.

The coldest game I ever refereed was at South Dakota State. 24° wind chill in the sub zero range with ice pellets. It was so cold that when I carded a player in the second half, I couldn’t get my hand to close over the pencil to write down the number. I had to ask my AR to back me up remember it.

Have you not heard of INDOOR soccer??
