Jack: I don't know how to play golf! Gary: That's why we came to the driving range. To start out, just think of it as a bent over baseball swing. You'll see, after you've hit a bucket of balls, you'll start to get the hang of it. Jack: Then can we go? Gary: I meant one ball at a time! Jack: A couple of those went pretty far. Can we get another bucket?

I may have to try this technique the next time I head to the driving range …
Fun one.

I used to go to the college driving range at my university. Back then, most of us would hit our balls at a slow pace but when the cart came out to collect the balls it became target practice with everyone trying to hit it. It must not have been a fun job for the guy driving that thing even if he was protected inside of a cage.

Looks like Jack is gonna need a whole lot of practice. However, I’m still having trouble understanding why low scores win in golf.

Yes, yes, you have to be careful of how you word things around children.

Suddenly he doesn’t want to go. I’d spring for another bucket (making sure he understands and adheres to the one-ball-at-a-time rule).
