This could be the hottest summer on record. Here in Florida, the only days in the past 2 months which have had below average temperatures have been the days where we have had record rainfall and moderate flooding, judging by the fact that south Texas has already dealt with one tropical system and may be looking at its twin in a few days, the tropics are going to be active again as well. Gulf temp is already in the mid to upper 80’s at Clearwater/Venice/Fort Myers beaches, that used to be the max when I was a kid in the ’70s, now they top up in the mid ’90s in late July and August. Temperatures are rising worldwide and it is affecting the whole ecosystem.

Gary, those kids are a lot smarter than you give them credit for and they can tell that this heatwave is unbearable. I mean, they’ve melted into puddles for goodness sake.

Only gravity can overcome this heatwave!!
