This certainly isn’t Violet’s last appearance; she continued to be an extremely minor character in Peanuts until November 12th 1996, which is her genuinely last appearance in the strip. Let me give you some examples of Violet’s post-1984 appearances:Nov 19th 1985 – Charlie Brown tries to sell Violet a Christmas wreath more than a month before ChristmasJan 10th 1989 – Violet’s hair is in braids here, just like it was in 1951!! Dec 5th 1991 – Violet and Lucy walk past a horn-honking Snoopy ClausMay 10th 1992 – Violet (who is taking a break from roller-skating) tells Lucy that Linus has been patting birds on the head once againApr 26th 1993 Violet and Lucy walk past “Joe Grunge”
