There is an option. I have arthritis (and no children to worry about) and my pharmacist knows, so I get the easy open bottles

For the bottles with the “Push & Turn” tops, once they are off, the outer part meets my Diagonal Cutters of Death!!! BWAHAHA!
Some tops and bottles are made such that the top is reversible with an easy open option if the cap is just turned other-side down
As a child, my mother always gave me and my brother the child proof caps to open.
I thought that’s what vise grips are for.
