Off the record, I’m not that nostalgic for His Master’s Voice.

The youth of today will also miss out on the glorious album cover artwork from yesteryear.

Breaking news! Many kids and adults from the digital age LOVE the sound of vinyl records. My nephew who is in his late Twenties was extremely happy when I let him pick what he wanted from the family collection. He took Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, the popular folk singers of the Sixties, etc. One of the best things about this digital age of media is that it’s easy to see and hear older songs, movies, etc., and it’s much easier to acquire them. Plus, even digital albums have cover art. The album liner notes, however, are much rarer.

I love to hear that sound coming out of the speakers…

    “Boom, shellac-a-laca, boom!”
