I attended a large Cali. school in 9th grade(300+ in my grade). We had lock downs every spring because of large fights. ( I even saw the in a fight with one girl and the schools female principal who was then dragging her in an arm lock to the office). Go back and look at the movies of the 50’s many were set in violence prone schools. Or how about Sidney Poitier in “To Sir with Love” set in 1966 Britain.
