I always pay with cash, and it’s entirely because of these “rewards” that never pan out. Either the thing they said I could use them for is no longer available when I want to use them, or it’s impossible to get through to their call centres.
They basically begged me to stop using them. So I did. Cancelled and cut up all my credit cards. They keep sending me “offers” for new cards, and will “give” me “free reward points” if I sign up again.
