My wife (now x) got a video of “Lassie” shows for the boys. There response: “Is that kid dumb or what?” We grownups felt a little silly for having liked that when we were their age.

Reminds me a little of Calvin and Hobbes going at it – except these two are smiling!
That doesn’t add up, Red. Lassie didn’t have any speaking parts either, unless you count barking.
The original Lassie was called “Jeff’s Lassie”. Timmy came later. Jeff was smarter. He sometimes saved Lassie.
Seems like Rover is looking at that 4th wall in 4th panel!
