Yes, D.C. And our federal government has been upside down for a long time. Dates to about 1913 and the Wilson administration, although Teddy Roosevelt contributed with his “progressivisim”. What disconnected our government from the people? Here is a breif list.
1. Creation of the federal reserve and fiat currency in 1913. This danger grew with loss of Gold standard decades larer.
2. Abuse of the interstate commerce clause to declare private enterprise unconstitutional.
3. Growth of a massive bureacratic state (see a well liked book by Wilson, “Phillip Dru, Administrator”.
4. The creation of globalist power structures like the initial failed League of Nations and then the U.N.
5. The infiltration of the state Department by socialist operatives (see Glenn Beck’s recent “The Democrat’s Hydra”.
6. Oh yeah, a big nail in the coffin…the creation of a national income tax. Such a progressive idea, it was made “Progressive”.
FDR AND johnson continued the destruction. Eisenhower noted the growth of the monster when he warned of the military-industrial complex and equally warned of the very dangerous academic-technocratic elitists occupying the bureacracy (now bith comprising the deep state). Bush I worsened it with his new world order and Bush II with TAARP and other bailouts. Ofcourse Obama accelerated all of this with Obamacare, destruction of tea party groups who were denied equal tax treatment as 501c3’s and so much more.
Much repair work to do if we want to return to our Founders vision. THE GOOD NEWS is the dems new found respect, so sincere, so reverant, of the Founders and th constitut…ack..urrhghh…gaggggggggg. Sorry, I couldn’t swallow that last lie as easily as the dems do….
Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit:
There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect. — Frank Wilhoit
“The modern conservative is engaged in one of man’s oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.” – John Kenneth Galbraith
No never, the last time it was with Clinton only it wasn’t serious as it is now. And Nixon never came close to what is happening now. A coup in progress.

It’s been topsy-turvy before, but never upside down.

Being upside down was put into place when we got a president who is a Traitor.

I pushed my soul in a deep dark hole and then I followed it in
I watched myself crawling out as I was a-crawling in
I got up so tight I couldn’t unwind
I saw so much I broke my mind
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in
Yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in

Don’t think it’s been this bad since the 1850’s. But somebody’s probably said that every 10-20 years. Let’s hope I’m wrong.

Looks like Washington Monument could use some of those “male enhancement” pills. Such things happen when we choose elderly leaders.
