Off topic, but why did Raymond’s tail change from a light brown to a dark brown color between panels one and two?

I have to say I feel bad for poor Louie when Raymond is walking around and talking like he just one of the guys.

I think he got the short end of the stick that was tossed to them when they were puppies.

Dressing pets is degrading to the animal.
