“government” obviously means not our government, and “work” obviously means you didn’t so clearly you are a spy for a foreign government who is sowing distrust of our government rather than working for the betterment of our society. Death to the spy!

I’ve met several conspiracy theorists who claimed to have done secret work for the government. All of them were nuts— which, of course, doesn’t necessarily mean that they didn’t do some secret government job, nor even that their conspiracy theories are false.
