Not sure where Keith gets the “not hiring” from. 90% or more of the businesses I support off even just go past have “help wanted” signs. Often with bonuses, pay rate, and other benefits (like paid education) listed.

1979 1st edition of the Dungeon Master’s Guide has a cartoon in which typical D&D characters are playing Paychecks & Papers, “a fantasy role playing game in which we’re workers and students in an industrial society.”
