Different kind of Subway?

Up until 1975, I lived in NYC my whole life and rode the subway (solo) since I was five. I drove cross-country and was excited to ride on a different subway system, to see what it was like.
Imagine my disappointment when I found an entrance to the new BART system and discovered it was closed on the weekend.

Nice pun there. I remember when Subway had an actual NYC subway map up on the walls. It was nice, living here in Minnesota, to read the stations on the line I used to ride to and from college and work.
