I met Gene Roddenberry in the 1970s when he spoke at my university. A wonderful man, he was quite entertaining, and showed us the original Star Trek Bloopers reel. I have never laughed so hard. I have also met Uhura, and she hugged my tribble!

Been Roddenberry went up with Gerard K. O’Neill, who introduced the idea of large rotating space Colonies and Timothy O’Leary.
