We used to call them “comic books.” They sold for 10 cents and you could buy them anywhere. Now they are called “graphic novels,” and are sold in specialty shops.
Back in the day….. I always said that the most educational and informative section of the paper was the comics. Holds true to this day, only in a little different form!
