Aha..the Larson school of drawing eyes…all characters wear glasses. I wish I’d known that trick 50 years ago when I tried drawing comics! (BTW no slam on Larson. His work is and always will be classic; inability to draw eyes or not!)
Several years ago, my cousin and I, independently, decided to wrap up the various books and CDs we’d borrowed from one another as a joke. The ultimate regift: Giving a gift that already belongs to the other person!
Another year, after HP & the Sorcerer’s Stone came out, we went to see it on Thanksgiving weekend. My cousin let me borrow the first two books but wouldn’t let me borrow Prisoner of Azkaban because it was her favorite and she didn’t want to let it go for the month until Christmas when next we’d see each other, and also it was falling apart. So I bought her a new copy, read it, wrapped it up for her for Christmas, and told her to be sure to bring the rest of the books with her.
