I’m the same. I know I annoy the heck out of my kids, but I cannot stand incorrect spelling or abbreviated words. Emojis drive me nuts, also. It must be an age and education thing. With a degree in education, with a concentration on English, and a 1970’s elementary school experience, I cannot help but be pedantic. It’s ingrained in me.

I have a neighbor that is a big user of emojis in her text along with lots of "" and !!. Half of her texts will be full of those two.
