Did we ever get a name for the Korean CEO? If not I vote for “Puer Lee Sung”(Poorly Sung), I know “Pu’er” is the name of a Chinese city, but some Koreans have Chinese names.
How did he even know where to find Ellie? Don’t tell me someone sent him an invitation, then again maybe her wedding was the talk of the town, perhaps the people think just like us in the comments.
As has happened in the past, I am missing something as in who the hell is this guy and when did he enter this story. I was out of the country for a year and a half so maybe while I was away. Someone please hep me!
Christopher Lloyd was in a short-lived sitcom once entitled, Best of the West, in which he played a gunman named The Calico Kid (much the same as his Reverend Jim character from Taxi only riding a horse). In a shootout with someone, the intended victim (and hero of the story) asks to be given five minutes so he can say his farewells to his wife and kids. The Kid: It takes ya five minutes to say goodbye to yer family?!? Hero: Yeah! The Kid: (shrugs) Okay…
Okay… First: I did suspect that he would finally show up.
Second: Wait… WHAT???
Third: Now that I’ve had a chance to think about it, perhaps he could sense that she was glowing not just from her marriage, but also from having a bun in her oven. I have yet to see a self-respecting assassin want to kill a baby, even an unborn one.
As ever, Ellie is completely unintimidated by peril, focusing on the moment. Maybe she has a derringer in her garter? That yin/yang thing on the krazy katana guy’s headband makes an excellent target.
The expression of bliss on Ellie’s face as she tells him the complete truth he manages to completely misunderstand. Even showed him the ring too.
Just wonder how it took so long for him to finally catch up her though. Damn customs agents gave him problems over the swords I bet. Then the headband had to look just right and wasn’t cooperating.
Only hope he hasn’t pulled a Terminatoresque search by starting with the first Ellie Gardner he found in the first phone book he looked at.

Seriously.
Wow.
What an insane payoff to a long, long, ‘long’-simmering subplot …

At least he dressed appropriately for occasion, though the Ninja swords are overkill….

Hmm… That one woman on the left side of the second panel looks like she could be Ellie’s sister.

A little longer handles and they would look like nagamakis.

The best man would have to step in and protect the couple. Since it is Roy and guns trump swords, running away was a good thing.

He was wise to flee. One step closer to Ellie and Hubbs takes him out with a Duke death-toss between the eyes. Nobody messes with Mrs. Durum!

Did NOT see that coming. Funny nonetheless.

But still no sign of Hubbs’ mom. How could he possibly get married without her hovering? Will she ever be revealed? I gottsta know.

Well, I was hoping for Hubb’s mom, but oh well! This works I guess:) Pretty damn funny actually!
