Reminds me of a story I read whenI was a kid. A group of people travel back in time only to discover that their time machine no longer works. They’d traveled to a time before electricity, so there was no place to plug it in. So they had to find a way to generate electricity to get back home.
I always liked the joke on The Librarians that theres an whole room of Time Machines. Because by going back in time to change something, You remove the reason for coming back and create an paradox thusly Erasing yourself from history.

Moral of the story…..it’s a mistake to think the worst won’t happen, because it already has, already is, and always will.
